Company description

ServLogi understands how critical sectors secure, manage, and deploy data. We work to deliver sovereign infrastructure that supports the high-assurance missions of today and the secure operations of tomorrow. Built on defense-in-depth security and zero-trust architecture, our environments serve as a resilient backbone for the defense, government, and enterprise systems that shape our digital world.

ServLogi meets clients at the intersection of measured reliability and mission readiness, so they can move quickly without carrying avoidable downtime risk. We do that through a senior engineering culture and a portfolio of bare-metal and dedicated server products built for sustained performance, operational discipline, and layered security, backed by a 99.99% uptime SLA with service credits.

ServLogi operates dedicated data center capacity built to rigorous compliance standards, including FedRAMP High, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, DoD SRG IL5 and IL6, SOC 2 Type II, and CMMC 2.0 Level 3. Our facilities are designed around layered physical and digital controls so regulated workloads and critical supply chains keep dependable access to the sovereign compute they rely on.

Job description

Every ServLogi customer runs on dedicated, single-tenant hardware rather than a slice of a shared host. That model only works if provisioning, imaging, and lifecycle management are automated to a standard that survives an audit.

As a Senior Bare-Metal Platform Engineer you will own the systems that take a machine from arrival on a loading dock to an attested, customer-ready host inside an accredited boundary. This is close-to-the-metal work: firmware, boot paths, out-of-band management, and the control plane that ties them together.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the automated provisioning pipeline covering firmware baselining, secure boot configuration, and OS imaging.
  • Own out-of-band management tooling across the fleet, including BMC hardening and credential rotation.
  • Build lifecycle automation for host decommissioning, including media sanitization workflows that satisfy MP-6 evidence requirements.
  • Partner with the compliance team to keep provisioning artifacts audit-ready as a continuous output rather than a quarterly scramble.
  • Take part in an on-call rotation covering the provisioning control plane.

Requirements

  • Five or more years operating Linux systems in production at fleet scale.
  • Hands-on experience with bare-metal provisioning tooling and PXE or HTTP boot workflows.
  • Working knowledge of BMC and IPMI or Redfish management interfaces.
  • Strong automation skills in Python, Go, or a comparable language.
  • Comfort working in an environment where changes carry compliance evidence obligations.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with AMD SEV-SNP or another confidential computing platform.
  • Prior work inside a FedRAMP or DoD SRG accredited boundary.
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 control families as they apply to configuration management.

Compensation

The posted range for this role is $178,000 to $245,000 per year. Where an offer lands inside that range depends on several factors, including but not limited to:

  • Relevant education, qualifications, active security clearances, and experience
  • Specialized skills, abilities, and job-specific knowledge
  • Performance, contribution, and delivered results
  • Geographic location and required on-site facility presence
  • Shift, schedule, or on-call rotation requirements
  • Internal and external market equity
  • Evolving business and organizational needs

The range listed reflects what we believe to be the likely compensation band for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may fall above or below it. This range applies to work performed in California, Colorado, New York, and Virginia, and to remote roles that can be performed from those states. The range may be revised in the future.

Pay transparency documentation is available on request from [email protected].

Incentive programs

You will be eligible to participate in ServLogi's Short-Term Incentive plan, which awards against both company-wide operational stability and individual performance.

Depending on role and impact, you may also be eligible for our Long-Term Incentive program, which may include restricted stock units or cash equivalents. Eligibility varies by role and by plan terms. Equity awards are also available to eligible new hires so the team shares in the long-term performance of the infrastructure it builds.

Benefits

So the team stays sharp, healthy, and focused, we offer:

  • Paid vacation and paid sick leave
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life, accident, and disability insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Supplemental voluntary benefits, including legal plan, pet insurance, critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity cover
  • Tuition and certification reimbursement, including CISSP, CCSP, and FedRAMP assessor training
  • Transit and commuting benefits
  • Recognition through the ServLogi Star Program
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • ServLogi Savings 401(k) Plan with company match

No amount of pay or incentive bonus is considered earned until the conditions of the applicable compensation plan are fully met.
